If you look at the pattern image, it looks fairly simple, right? A faux-wrap dress, full skirt, hidden zipper:

But don't be fooled!! This dress is incredibly detailed. The top is shaped by a three sets of darts, which is nice, it will have a great fit. It is also fully top stitched along the front, collar, and cuffs. The cuffs are also attached in a way that hides the seams inside, which is nice, but also rather tedious.

All these details will make for a nicely detailed, professional-looking dress, but MAN, is it taking a long time to finish!!
Tonight I hope to finish the sleeves and at least get a start on the skirt. The skirt is also going to take FOREVER, since it has about a million (or twelve) gores.
At this point I'm wondering if it would have been cheaper to just pay the $230.00 for the original? Maybe not cheaper, but it sure would have been easier.

Easier, perhaps, but not as nice! Stick with it, you're doing a great job. And you know it will fit better and last longer than RTW...
