What Has Been Keeping Me From the Sewing Room....

As you may know, the midwest has been experiencing some extreme weather the past few weeks (thanks, global warming!!!). Unfortunately, we have not escaped unscathed.

The photos above are the crappy little garage at the back of my property. The tree lying on it belongs to my neighbor behind me. Unfortunately, rules in our city require that responsibility for clean-up lies on the person whose property the debris is on...so regardless of the fact that the tree actually belongs to my neighbor, it is my insurance company that pays for the damage to my property. Yes, I know that is twisted, but that's the way is in MO. How do I know this? Because this is not the first time this has happened....

Deja Vu? That photo is from 2006.

Anyway, my poor little garage needs help...not that it didn't need help before, I am surprised it hasn't just fallen down of its own accord...and truly astounded that the tree did not just crush it flat.

That really sucks! Well, maybe now the garage will get a little repair and it won't be so bad. Yep, this weather is getting really old. When does summer start???

Yikes! I'm so sorry, darn that Mother Nature keeping you from sewing! We are having our first solid tast of summer weather here in Michigan, 80's for the week with rain on Saturday. Works for me!

Aw man! You would think your neighbor would offer to help. Beautiful home all the same and hang in there.

OMG, what a bummer for you to have to deal with (rather than being in your sewing world). And that's a really bummer MO law!

Sorry this has happened to you! This kind of clean up must be a royal pain. At least you guys are safe!
